Budget Bathroom Makeover

Posted on July 28, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Small spaces shouldn’t limit your style, and it’s easier than ever to redesign a bathroom on a budget. This HGTV article boasts bathroom makeovers for under $2,000. If you pick and choose ideas from these projects, you could come in at even less!

Here are a couple budget bathroom improvements you might try:

  • Install a curved shower curtain rod.
  • Use baskets for storing towels and toiletries.
  • Display personal collections on shelves.
  • Decorate stock items with patterned paper or fabric details.
  • Use wall stickers to create art on tile, and paint stencils for drywall.

Granite countertops should be resealed once each year, and marble countertops should be resealed twice each year. Resealing granite and marble countertops provides a layer of protection against everyday wear and tear as well as keeping contaminants and moisture at bay. Without resealing, stone countertops are vulnerable to color and structural changes that can impact longevity.

If it’s time to reseal your granite or marble countertops, you can easily do it yourself. We recommend using Miracle 511 Impregnator or 511 Porous Plus. Check out these step-by-step instructions for how to use, or give us a call at 913-481-2822.
