Did you know? Quartz is one of the hardest minerals found on earth, following the diamond. Granite is another hard stone mined deep in the earth; its color and pattern is determined by the minerals found in the area in which it is mined.

Quartz countertop products are manmade, composed from 97 percent quartz mined from the earth as well 3 percent resins and pigments.

Granite is composed of approximately 50% quartz; the remaining elements include softer minerals and impurities.
